What organic farming means to us

Since planting, the orchard has not been treated with any systemic (absorbable) crop protection products.

Zero chemical herbicides (e.g. glyphosate) are used; grass mowing is purely mechanical.

Accredited chemical-free purity (proving 0.00 mg/kg pesticide residue) is fully verified by laboratory analysis.

Organic cultivation, spring frost, and monilia

In 2026, multiple spring frosts (especially the critical bloom frost on April 12, when temperatures dropped to -2.6 °C) and high bloom humidity (peaking at 96% relative humidity on March 30) caused severe monilia pressure. Due to the strict rules of organic farming, chemical sprays were consciously avoided, and crop reductions were deliberately accepted.

Our official lab reports and organic certification documents are publicly available below:

Meteorological bloom frost and relative humidity monilia graph (March-April 2026)
Meteorological Factors (2026) Multiple spring frosts and monilia infection due to high humidity during bloom
Continuous drip irrigation operation during dry periods
Continuous Drip Irrigation Fighting dryness and supporting the water balance of the trees

Expected Crop Losses by Variety Group (2026)

Quantified impact of extreme spring frosts and bloom humidity monilia on our organic varieties:

Early varieties Tsunami, Aurora 90 - 95%
Traditional mid-season Magyar kajszi, Gönci magyar 70 - 80%
Late varieties Nagykőrösi Rózsa, Tardicot 40 - 50%
Szegedi Mamut Special mid-season variety 100%
